GUIDE

Documentation

A complete guide to TREZO: setup, how commands work and every feature. Looking for a specific command? Open the Commands page.

Getting started

TREZO is an all-in-one Discord bot with 220+ commands in 29 categories. This guide covers setup, how commands work, and a walkthrough of every feature.

  1. Press Add to Discord on the home page and pick your server. Keep the bot and applications.commands scopes so slash commands appear.
  2. Make sure TREZO's role is above any roles it needs to give or manage (level roles, autoroles, reaction roles, custom roles).
  3. Type /help. The menu has a page per category with Back / Home / Next buttons and a category select menu. All Commands lists everything.
  4. Set up what you need with the guides below, for example /logging setup, /leveling setup or /ticket setup.
  5. Need a hand? Join the support server from the menu at the top.
TipOnly the person who opened a help menu can press its buttons.

Ways to run a command

Every command works in four forms:

FormExampleWho can use it
Slash/play never gonna give you upEveryone
Prefix!play never gonna give you upEveryone (prefix is per server)
No prefixplay never gonna give you upOnly users added with /noprefix add
Mention@TREZO play never gonna give you upEveryone

Arguments in prefix, no-prefix and mention forms are positional, in the same order as the slash command. Almost every command has short aliases that work in all forms (for example !p for play, q for queue). Aliases are shown on the Commands page.

Moderation and setup commands ask for Confirm / Cancel before they act. Messages and panels are built with Components V2 (containers), so they look the same on every device.

Prefix and no-prefix

  • /setprefix <prefix> changes the prefix of this server. Up to 5 characters, no spaces, no @ or backticks. Needs Manage Server.
  • /setprefix reset goes back to the default. /setprefix alone shows the current prefix.
  • /noprefix add <user> (bot owners only) lets a user run commands without any prefix in every server. A duration menu opens: 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, lifetime or custom like 3d, 2w 12h, 6mo. /noprefix remove and /noprefix list manage it.
TipYou can always use @TREZO as a prefix, even if you forget the custom one.

Cooldowns

Every command has the same 5 second cooldown per user and command. It applies to slash, prefix, mention and no-prefix use, and a command shares one timer with its aliases. The cooldown blocks only that command; you can run other commands straight away. Nobody can skip it, including admins. If you run a command too early the bot tells you how many seconds to wait. Buttons and menus have their own short 2 second cooldown.

Permissions

Users need the matching Discord permission for a command (for example Manage Server for setup commands, Manage Roles for role features). The bot needs permissions too. The invite uses Administrator for simplicity, but you can give it only what you use:

FeatureBot permissions
MusicView Channel, Send Messages, Connect, Speak
ModerationKick / Ban / Moderate Members, Manage Messages, Manage Roles, Manage Channels
Leveling roles, autorole, reaction rolesManage Roles (bot role above the target roles)
VoiceMasterManage Channels, Manage Roles, Move Members, Connect
LoggingManage Channels, Manage Webhooks, View Audit Log
Invite statsManage Server
ImportantRoles in the server list are ordered by position. A bot can only give roles that sit below its own highest role.

Variables

Greetings, level messages, autoresponders, embeds and similar messages accept variables that are replaced when the message is sent. Examples: {user.mention}, {guild.name}, {level.current}, {level.rank}, {streak.*}. Run /variables to see the full list, grouped by category.

The message editor

Greet, farewell, join DM, boost messages, level-up messages, sticky, vanity and tag roles, notifier, autoresponders, embeds and containers all use the same editor. You pick a style:

  • Normal message: plain text.
  • Embed: title, description, colour, image, footer and more.
  • Container: a modern Components V2 card with text, sections and buttons.

The editor shows a live preview while you edit. Most setups also have config (edit later), test (send a test), delete, enable / disable and reset.

Music

Music runs on Lavalink for stable playback. Start with /play and a song name or link. The player card has buttons for -10s, pause or resume, +10s, loop and a menu (previous, next, stop).

  • /join and /play bind the player to the text channel you used them in. Messages stay there until the bot leaves.
  • /queue, /shuffle, /seek, /volume, /skip, /nowplaying manage what plays. /clear queue empties it, /clear filters resets effects.
  • Filters: /filter (menu), /bassboost, /nightcore, /vaporwave, /karaoke, /tremolo, /vibrato, /rotation, /lowpass, /enhance.
  • /favorite saves songs to your own library. /autoplay keeps similar songs coming. /247 keeps the bot in the channel all day.
  • When everyone leaves, the queue clears after 10 seconds and the bot leaves after 1 minute (unless 24/7 is on). After a restart the bot rejoins and continues where it stopped.
TipYou must be in a voice channel to control the player.

Moderation

Kick, ban, timeout and more. Every action asks for confirmation first, and logs a case you can look up later.

NeedCommands
Punish/warn /kick /ban /softban /tempban /timeout /mute /tempmute /jail
Undo/unban /untimeout /unmute /unjail /clearwarns
History/warnings /history /modlogs /case
Clean up/purge /clear /slowmode
Channels/lock /unlock /hide /unhide and server-wide /lockall /unlockall /hideall /unhideall
Members/nick /selfnick /roleadd /roleremove

Jail

/jail setup creates the jail role and channel. /jail user (or !jail @user [duration] [reason]) removes the member's roles and leaves them only the jail channel. /unjail restores their roles. Rejoining does not escape jail or mute.

Lockdown commands

The all commands remember what they changed, so the matching undo only restores those channels. /hide also gives the bot access to the channel so it never locks itself out.

Fake permissions

Let trusted roles or members use moderation commands without giving them the real Discord permission. Run /fake permissions config, pick a permission from a group (Punishments, Warnings and History, Messages, Channels and Members), then choose the roles and members. list shows the setup and reset clears it. The bot itself still needs the real permission to act.

AutoMod

Deletes messages that break a rule and punishes the member. /automod setup opens a panel: choose modules, press Configure to pick the punishment for each, then Confirm. /automod config edits it later and has an on / off button. Edited messages are checked again.

ModuleCatches
Anti Spam5 messages in 5 seconds, or the same message 3 times in 10 seconds
Anti LinkAny link, except GIFs and Discord media
Anti InviteDiscord invite links
Anti Bad WordsYour own word list (whole words only)
Anti NSFWAdult sites and explicit words
Anti Caps12+ letters and 70% or more capitals
Anti Ping@everyone, @here and role pings
Anti Mass Mention5 or more different users or roles in one message
Anti Emoji Spam8 or more emojis
Anti Attachment Spam5 or more attachments
Anti Char LimitMore than 1000 characters
Anti Newline Spam10 or more line breaks
Anti Scam SpreadFake gift and phishing links and look-alike domains

Default on: Anti Spam, Anti Invite, Anti Mass Mention and Anti Scam Spread. /automod whitelist exempts a member or role from chosen modules. linkwhitelist and linkblacklist manage allowed and blocked links. /automod reset turns everything off and removes data.

Leveling and streaks

Members earn XP for chatting (15 to 25 XP per message, at most once per minute) and for time in voice. Setup with /leveling setup:

  1. Choose the channel for level-up messages (required).
  2. Optionally edit the level message with the editor and variables such as {level.current} and {level.rank}.
  3. Add level roles: members get every role up to their level.
  4. Optionally set whitelist or blacklist roles that decide who earns XP, and a leaderboard channel (weekly and monthly boards, refreshed every 10 minutes).

Use /level check to see a rank card, /level add and /level remove to adjust levels, and /leaderboard for level, messages, invites, voice and streak boards.

Streaks

Send at least one message every day to keep a streak. /streak setup configures streak roles by length, announcement mode (daily, milestones or never) and a live leaderboard channel. /streak check shows yours.

Greet, farewell, join DM and boosts

/greet, /farewell, /joindm and /boostgreet each have the same subcommands: setup, config, test, delete, enable, disable and reset. Pick a channel (greet, farewell, boost) and build the message in the editor. Use test to preview exactly what a new member will see, and some messages support auto-delete after a delay.

Tickets

A support ticket system with panels, categories and staff tools.

  1. /ticket setup to create categories (with their own button text, staff roles and welcome message).
  2. /ticket panelsend <channel> <type> posts the panel members use to open tickets.
  3. /ticket button sets a button colour: blue, gray, green, red or default.
  4. /ticket blacklist and /ticket whitelist control who can open tickets.

Inside a ticket, staff can use /ticketclaim (run again to release it) and /ticketrename <name>. Ticket logs go through webhooks.

Applications

Staff or role applications with approval. /application create makes an application and /application question add and question remove manage its questions. /app panel create designs the panel (message, layout, selector position) and /app panel send posts it. Use /application button for the button colour and blacklist / whitelist to control who can apply. Reviewers approve or deny from the application channel.

Reaction roles

Let members pick their own roles with buttons, a dropdown or reactions.

  1. /reaction role create <name>: pick a message style, choose Buttons, Dropdown or Reactions, optionally a required role, then add roles (emoji is required for Reactions) and Save.
  2. /reaction role config <name> edits a saved panel; Save also updates every posted copy.
  3. /reaction panel send <name> <channel> posts the panel. You can post one panel as many times as you like.

Clicking a button or choosing an option toggles the role. Limits: 25 roles for buttons and dropdowns, 20 for reactions. Needs Manage Roles for you and the bot.

VoiceMaster

Members create their own temporary voice channels. /voicemaster setup creates a Voice Master category with a Join to Create channel and an interface channel with control buttons. /voicemaster config changes the channels, name template ({user}, {username}, {server}) and default limit. /voicemaster reset removes everything it created.

Owners of a temporary channel control it with commands like /vclock, /vcunlock, /vchide, /vcrename, /vclimit, /vcpermit, /vcreject, /vckick, /vctransfer, /vcclaim (when the owner left), /vcinfo, /vcreset and /vcdelete, or with the interface buttons.

Logging

/logging setup offers Auto Configure (a private Server Logs category with 5 channels) or Manual Setup. /logging config changes channels, turns log types on or off, ignores bots and sends test logs. Log types: message, member, voice, moderation and server. To see the text of deleted and edited messages, the bot needs the Message Content intent enabled in the developer portal.

Automation

  • Autorole: /autorole human add and bot add give roles to new members and bots automatically (remove and list also available).
  • Autoreact: /autoreact add reacts with an emoji when a word is said.
  • Autoresponder: /autoresponder create <name> <match> replies to a trigger. Match types: exact (whole message), soft (whole word or phrase) and justhave (anywhere). Up to 50 per server, with a 5 second cooldown per channel.

Embeds and containers

/embed and /container have create, delete, send and list. create <name> opens the builder (using an existing name edits it) and send <name> [channel] posts it. Variables are filled in when you send. Up to 50 of each per server.

Ignore, media-only and custom roles

Ignore

Make the bot ignore commands in chosen channels (needs Manage Server). /ignore channel ignores one channel, /ignore all ignores every channel, /ignore bypass add exempts a role or member, and /unignore undoes it. /ignore and /unignore are never ignored, so nobody gets locked out.

Media only

/media only set makes a channel accept only images, videos and GIFs. Use only bypass for exempt roles or users, plus only list, only remove and only reset.

Custom roles

/customrole create <n> <role> makes a short command: !vip toggles the role on you and !vip @user on someone else. They work with a prefix or no-prefix only, never as slash commands. reqrole set limits who can use them.

Giveaways

/gcreate <winners> <time> <prize> [banner] [description] [thumbnail] [reqrole] starts a giveaway. With a prefix, quote multi-word prizes: !gcreate 1 1h "Discord Nitro". Members join with the Enter giveaway button and can see the participants list privately. /gend ends one early, /greroll picks new winners and /gcancel cancels. Only winners are pinged.

Vanity, tag roles, sticky, downtime, notifier and quotes

  • Vanity role (/vanityrole): a role while your vanity text is in a member's custom status. Tag role (/tagrole): a role while the member wears the server tag. Both need the Presence intent.
  • Sticky (/sticky): a message that stays at the bottom of a channel.
  • Downtime (/downtime notify add): get told when a bot goes offline; set the alert channel and ping role with notify channel and notify ping.
  • Notifier (/notifier): YouTube upload alerts, checked every 5 minutes.
  • Quotes: reply to a message and type quotethis to make a quote card. /quote channel set sends cards to a channel.

Games, fun and social

Play with buttons: tic-tac-toe, connect 4, hangman, wordle, blackjack, minesweeper, 2048, trivia, quiz, rock paper scissors and more. /profile and /leaderboard show wins, losses and draws. There is no economy. Fun commands (jokes, compliments, 8ball, fortune, roast) and actions (hug, kiss, slap, poke and more) show a GIF. /counting channel set starts a counting game.

Utility and stats

Info commands (/userinfo, /serverinfo, /roleinfo, /channelinfo, /emojiinfo, /botinfo), avatars and banners, /calculator, /remindme, /poll, /timestamp, /afk (global or per server), /steal and /setprofile. Stats: /messages, /invites, /vc and /leaderboard. Info commands never ping roles.

Troubleshooting

ProblemFix
Slash commands do not showRe-invite with the applications.commands scope, wait a minute and restart Discord. Discord allows 100 global slash commands, so the rest register per server.
Bot does not give rolesMove the bot role above the roles it manages and give it Manage Roles.
Music does not playJoin a voice channel first and check the bot can Connect and Speak.
Logs do not show message textEnable the Message Content intent in the developer portal.
Command says to waitEvery command has a 5 second cooldown per user.
Nothing happens in a channelCheck /ignore channel-list: the channel may be ignored.
